We sat down with Piumarredo, a company that has been producing paddings for furniture since 1980 and which is now facing a new phase of growth and innovation.

When was the brand born and with what kind of an outlook?
Founded in 1980, the business was conducted by Giovanni and Stefano Bugatti until 2024. Today, the baton has been handed over to Tiziano Viganò, owner of Zorzamario & C., who, together with his son Alessandro and with Stefano will face this new challenge. The future perspectives of the enterprise are oriented towards an approach that integrates innovation, expansion, sustainability, and optimisation. This strategy will make it possible to face future challenges and guarantee long-term growth.
What advantages would you say this ‘liaison’ still has today?
The quality of the goose down is unparalleled in its ability to provide comfort, breathability, and long-term durability. No less important is the fact that goose down offers several environmental advantages, first and foremost that it is a natural and renewable resource.
How has your operational method changed over time?
Over the years, our method has changed radically. In the beginning we were not very well-organised, but over time we have learned to be more rational and methodical and to plan every step forward carefully and with the utmost precision. This change has led the company to achieve better results and to manage challenges with more confidence and a greater awareness of our own abilities.
What are your company’s strengths?
Our strength resides in the strong bond and deep understanding within our family. Our ability to support each other, inspire each other, and think outside the box have always naturally been a part of the way we operate. Last but not least, there is Tiziano Viganò’s unwavering determination: with his entrepreneurial mindset he is guiding the whole company to achieve our preset goals. It is crucial to believe in yourself and in your own potential because with passion and energy, any objective can be reached.
What is the current evolutional trend in your business sector?
A growing attention towards corporate sustainability.
Was there any moment in particular that marked a leap in your company’s evolution?
When the new ownership took the reins of the company. This immediately allowed us to invest in new technologies and cutting-edge equipment. Adopting modern solutions not only streamlines production processes, but can also improve the quality of the products and services you offer.
How does your product distinguish itself from the competition?

Through imagination, preparation, trials, and – not least – errors, we have honed our prototyping and production techniques.

The secret of the success of a product does not merely reside in its exemplary execution, but also in the relations you are able to build, in its presentation, and in the ability to overcome difficulties – together.
